    tranquil atmosphere
    excellent onsen
    cleanliness issues
    aging facilities

    Does it deliver?

Tranquil atmosphere and a delightful breakfast with a courteous staff made my stay memorable! The onsen was open all night, perfect for unwinding after a long day.

Despite the charm, the facilities showed signs of age with some cleaning issues. a tear in my blanket was quite off-putting and disrupted my comfort.

    cozy private onsen
    delicious meals
    cleanliness issue

My 3-night stay was fantastic with cozy private onsens and delicious meals, especially the traditional 12-course kaiseki! Only downside was a few cleanliness issues in the common areas. I'd definitely revisit!

    traditional japanese hotel
    friendly staff
    spacious room

kazeya is a lovely traditional japanese hotel nestled in the hills. our room was spacious with a handy kitchenette. we especially enjoyed the onsen, both private and public, after a long day. the friendly staff spoke good english, making interactions easy, which really added to our experience.

the walls were a bit thin, leading to some noise disturbances during the night.

great experiences but some room for improvement

The Japanese-Style room was spacious with a lovely kitchenette, making it convenient for us. Enjoying breakfast and dinner was truly a delight with beautifully presented meals that we found unforgettable. Additionally, the public onsen offered stunning mountain views, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation after our day trips.

    inconsistent meals

The Japanese-Style room offered a spacious layout with beautiful aesthetic touches, making it quite enjoyable. The experience of soaking in the outdoor private onsen, surrounded by nature, was a true highlight of the trip. However, noise between the rooms was quite noticeable, leading to disturbances during the night. Additionally, the staff's limited English made communication challenging at times. The meals varied significantly, with the first night's dinner being delightful but the second night lacking in quality.

    outdoor onsen
    spacious apartment
    delicious meals
    limited activities

The outdoor onsen was absolutely stunning during our stay, perfect for unwinding after a busy day with the kids. The spacious apartment suited our family perfectly, and the meals were beautifully presented and delicious, making every dining experience memorable.

In my wife’s opinion, more activities for kids would improve the experience.
